ABOUT GINCHY
The definition of the word GINCHY, a slang term from the 1950’s, speaks to our center. It means “sexy, excellent, cool”. What can we say? We love vintage.

At its core, GINCHY feels like a mindset or a principle. Moving through the world as one who wishes to live authentically and not contribute to the colossal corporate carbon footprint.
We can show you the beauty of shopping secondhand and creating stylish outfits that align with your values. Learn to give life to the forgotten, in lieu of the new.

Ultimately, our mission is to create a space for self-expression to meet sustainability. Have a look around! Explore our curated collections and join us in making a positive impact on the planet.

OUR FOUNDER
Hello my name is Hannah, and I'm passionate about curating collections that are not just stylish, but also responsible. I'm here because, contrary to public opinion in 2025, personal style is not dead.

My relationship with fashion has been long standing. From wearing one shoe of different pairs as a young girl to cultivating Shein hauls in my mid-twenties, I’ve had an eye for how a look comes together. Now, living in an era in the age of capitalism which encourages additional spending (often in the name of uniformity & relevance by means of trend participation), we need alternative ways in which to consume. Ways which do not pollute our planet at the catastrophic rate at which the fast fashion industry currently does.

GINCHY’s ethos is pillared by three main ideas:
-
Environmental Friendliness
-
Economical Ethics
-
Expression of Self

For far too long, fast fashion companies have been stocking their shelves with the “ideal”. The things we “should” wear to look the way we “should” look. While they line their pockets from the suppression of self expression, particularly towards women, with plastic offerings which will pill or fall apart (often in a matter of minutes), our planet suffers in the name of their profits. Profits which are quite high, if you take a look at their excitedly-announced earning reports over the last couple of years. I believe it’s my responsibility as a consumer to reduce, reuse, and recycle. It is the responsibility of corporations to not pollute in the name of profit.
This space is my offering of an alternative. Welcome to GINCHY <3
